Strip
materials are used widely for several types of packaging applications.
tensile strength, crush and impact resistance along with fire retardancy
properties differentiate these materials from other armour layers. Strip
materials vary to suit the application and include among others aluminum
alloys, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and monel and other nickel
based alloys.
Strip Armoring
The strip armoring process takes a traverse wound strip package and
forms the strip into a physical protection layer. The process is used to
protect a wide range of products that serve different industries:
- Energy, oil and gas sectors include protective layers for pipes,
umbilical, and power cables.
- The telecom and fiber optic segment.
- A segment of the electrical conduit market.
