Offset
printing films are popular type of films used for transfer printing.
Transfer printing is the process of transferring a design onto a fabric
with the help of a specially coated paper printed by a color copier or
an inkjet printer. The design is then applied to the fabric by using a
heat press or a hot iron.
For light sensitive coatings of offset printing film, high contrast
emulsions are used which restrict the reproduction to only two values,
white and black . The metal plate is used for offset printing. This
plate is covered with a light-sensitive coating, which in turn helps the
image to be transferred from the film. Offset white ink is very
transparent, requiring two hits of white. All offset printing films
products have a clear UV flood coat to improve ink resistance.
