Industrial Tapes
 Industrial
tapes are high performance tapes for bonding, splicing and finishing.
They offer a wide range of adhesive and bonding tapes to meet all of
production and domestic requirements. These tapes are water and chemical
resistant.
Industrial tapes are of different materials and adhesives depending on
the usage of the tape. Some of the industrial tapes are:
- Industrial masking tapes: for painted surface
with stain resistance and conformability, for covering large areas
and resistance to abrasion, to withstand high and very high
temperatures. These are dimensionally stable industrial tapes with
light powder coating.
- Industrial protection tapes: for heavy-duty
outdoor protection and for plain and painted metal surfaces. These
are used for reducing wear on surfaces, and for UV resistance.
- Splicing industrial tapes: for high temperature
paper splicing work including textured surfaces. They are used for
instant adhesion.
- Packaging industrial tapes: laminated coated
tapes used in manufacturing of prepackaged pouches of tea, coffee,
and other beverages.
- Foam tapes: Foam tapes are adhesive-coated
polyolefin foam with the adhesive protected by a liner in the form
of a tape. These tapes are proven high performance attachment
systems for bonding automotive accessory and trim parts.
- Insulating tapes: these are high temperature
resistant tapes offering high dielectric breakdown and superior
insulation.
- Moisture detection alarm tapes: a laminate
product that can detect moisture through a series of conductors and
a specially formulated water barrier material.
- Polyester release tapes: release compound has
been formulated to allow removal of tape from aggressive surfaces,
leaving the adhesive and surface structure intact.
- Protective tapes: are available with a broad
range of adhesive formulations. They are applied without wrinkling
or bubbling and can be removed easily. They offer excellent abrasion
resistance and can withstand laser cutting.
Applications
They are widely used in electrical, electronic, and packaging
applications. Along with, these tapes are also used in the following
areas:
- Used in construction and civil engineering for curing, surface
protection, corrosion resistance and waterproofing, duct connecting,
double-sided bonding, and signal indication.
- In agriculture and fisheries for corrosion resistance and
waterproofing, aluminum foils bonding, and repair.
- Manufacturing plants for masking, corrosion resistance and
waterproofing, fluorine resin taping, lining, and signal indication
- Automobile and ship building for double sided bonding, harness
bonding, masking and surface protection
Food processing for double-sided bonding, fluorine resin taping,
and printing and signal indication.
