Bopp
is a biaxially oriented polypropylene film designed for flexible
packaging and label applications with a three dimensional visual
information recorded on it.
OPP, oriented polypropylene, is a flexible material derived from
melting and orienting a polymer called polypropylene. This raw material,
an oil by-product, is inert and unaffected by most chemical agents
occurring in daily life. Biaxially oriented means that the polypropylene
film is stretched in both the machine direction and across machine
direction.
The films characteristics of high gloss and low haze add a
positive effect to its appearance and it makes the process of
metallizing easier. Its applications are mainly food packaging and
flower and gift packaging.
