Guidelines to use a Holograms
The use of holograms has substantially
increased in the last few years not only as a measure to enhance the
look of the product packaging but also as the safest anti-counterfeiting
method. It is being widely used by almost every industry to prove the
authenticity and genuinity of the product.
The process of using a hologram depends on the kind of product or item
on which the hologram will be placed. If the hologram is used to ensure
the authentication of the product and packaging, it will be in the form
of a tamper-proof and tamper-evident label and will thus be applied
either manually, by hand or by using an automatic label application
machine/equipment. On the other hand, if the hologram is to be applied
on a document or a important paper then the hologram is generally made
on a transfer film or a hot stamping foil, to ensure the ease of
transfer of the hologram on to the paper, in such a case, a converting
press is used to transfer the label onto the required document. Thus the
transfer process or the use of hologram depends on both the product or
item it will be used on and also the raw material used to manufacture
the particular hologram.
