Fluoroplastic
film is a group of plastic films where the molecules contain carbon and
fluorine. Carbon and fluorine dramatically change the properties to
include very high working temperatures, no stick characteristics, very
high resistance to chemicals and solvents, and very high electrical
resistance.
It is a composite material consisting of industrial cloth, including
glass cloth, aramid cloth, coated with Fluoro plastic. Fluorine
typically imparts chemical resistance, thermal stability, and low
surface energy. Fluorointermediates are used as the key building blocks
required to produce fluoroplastics.
Functional Properties
- Anti-adhesive coating- Fluoroplastic film
enables to greatly reduce adhesion, consumption of food oil on
lubrication and consumption of a large amount of flour.
- Anti-friction coating- Fluoroplastic film
have a low friction coefficient, they are abrasion and impact
resistance. They facilitate heat transfer through metal surface,
ensure more reliable operation under low temperatures.
- Anti-corrosion coating- Fluoroplastic films
are used for protection of chemical equipment operating in
aggressive environments: centrifuge rotors, filter parts, mixers,
tank equipment, etc.
- Electric insulation coating- These films
have stable electric properties at high temperatures.
Applications: Fluoroplastic film and packaging
They are widely used for the insulation of heat resistant, winding,
assembly, and special wires, as well as in electric engines, generators,
transformers, etc. They are used as packing for reservoirs and medical
tools, as an important film for food and cigarette packaging. Also used
as lining for packing containers, cable winding of electric motors, and
printing circuits. These films are ideal for packaging parts and units
of machines used in corrosive fluids, containers, membranes, flexible
tubes for medicine and instruments. Also used as insulation of radio
technical products. Available in the form of pouches, bags, rolls,
sheets, cartons etc. for packaging.
