Filament
is a fine or thinly spun thread, fiber, or wire, used for packaging. It is
economical with high-impact durable plastic construction. It is a
transparent film reinforced with continuous glass yarn filaments.
Properties
- Filament films offer excellent resistance to UV radiation,
temperature extremes and moisture.
- They help to extend the product life in severe environments.
- They are excellent insulators and are non-magnetic.
- They are resistant to chemical corrosion or weakening.
- Surface finish inside is governed by the finish quality of the
mandrel and care during extraction.
- Special surfaces are available to meet needs for low friction or
special protection.
Applications: Filament films and packaging
Filament film is used for a variety of light to medium packaging
applications. Used for palletizing and bundling of loads on pallets to keep
merchandise contained during plant transfers or shipments to customers. It
is used for sealing of lightweight cartons. Also used for the closure and
reinforcement of corrugated fiberboard boxes and for holding and bundling.
Ideal for applications requiring abrasion, electrical conductivity, chemical
shielding, environments with elevated temperatures or applications where
synthetic or natural fiber brushes are not appropriate.
Various packaging products are made through filament films like packaging
pouches, packaging bags, pharma packaging, food packaging materials, pharma
packaging etc.
